About the author 121 A BOUT THE A UTHOR Lynne Wolbert (19-12-1983) grew up in Weerselo. She received a bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and a master’s degree in Philosophy of Education, also from the Vrije Universiteit. She combined her study with taking courses in the bachelor program of Philosophy. During her master, Lynne became a mother of two (Jonas, 14-12-2009 and Lina, 21-09-2011). In 2012, Lynne started her PhD, again at the Vrije Universiteit, under supervision of prof.dr . Doret de Ruyter and dr. Anders Schinkel. The result lies before you. During her time as PhD-student, Lynne also was a tutor for Pedagogiek students and she supervised bachelor and premaster theses. She visited several international conferences, among others the INPE conference in Italy and Poland, and the AME conference in Cambridge, MA., where she presented her work. Now, in 2018, Lynne works as a postdoctoral researcher for the project of Anders Schinkel about the role of wonder in education for flourishing. In addition to that, she is working on a Dutch book on child-rearing practices and expectations of parents in the Netherlands, which will be called Speelruimte . Lynne is not sure whether in the future there will be enough speelruimte for her to be able to stay in academia. She therefore hopes that her book will be a best seller.
