There are three forms of social cohesion: bonding, bridging and linking social capital. Each level builds on and is more complex than the previous one. Students’ perceptions Research question: How does IPE in a classroom setting infuence students’ perceptions of collaboration in clinical practice (IPC)? Students experienced different barriersand facilitators to IPC: Perceived hierarchy, organisationalfactors, personal characteristics and responsibility for a patient. These factors could hinder or facilitate IPC, dependingon the situation. Effect of IPE Our results show four different, but related perceived influences of the IPE-sessions, which can be organised in steps.
