Patients Characteristics from the Chart review The charts of 362 patients were screened: 252 from the teaching hospitals, 86 from the university hospital, and 25 from the general hospital. The median age of these patients was 69 years (IQR 58-77), 47% were female. Most of them (n=329/362; 91%) had an intravenous catheter in situ, most commonly a peripheral catheter (n=295/329; 90%).
