Discussion 225 7 Towards precision medicine. Future therapeutic strategies should focus on tailoring interventions to patient-specific gene and protein expression profiles. Precision medicine approaches, incorporating molecular diagnostics and personalized drug screening, hold significant promise for addressing the heterogeneity of 4H leukodystrophy and investigating potential treatments. The work presented in this thesis represents an important step towards understanding 4H leukodystrophy and developing targeted therapies. By refining our models, exploring novel targets, and leveraging emerging technologies and precision medicine strategies, we can advance closer to achieving meaningful clinical interventions for patients.
