Redo SCP 91 A significant difference in subjective cure rate according to the degree of involvement in the study was found (A3 and A4). In the redo group, 1/4 patients (25.0%) who were only interviewed, reported subjective improvement, compared to 22/22 patients (100.0%) who were also examined clinically (p=0.002). In the control group, 4/10 patients (40.0%) who only provided a PGIC-score reported subjective improvement, compared to 23/28 patients (82.1%) who were interviewed (p=0.02) and 62/73 patients (84.9%) who were also clinically assessed (p=0.004). The number of patients reporting de novo stress urinary incontinence (redo: 23.1% [6/26] vs control: 7.7% [7/91], OR: 3.60, 95% CI: 1.09-11.89) and urinary urgency (redo: 65.4% [17/26] vs control: 41.0% [41/100], OR: 2.72, 95% CI: 1.10-6.69) was higher in the redo group, without a higher rate of reinterventions for stress urinary incontinence (redo: 2.6% [1/39] vs control: 7.1% [11/156], HR=0.44, 95% CI: 0.11-1.70). As shown in Table 2, apical cure rate was high in both redo and primary patients at a comparable median follow-up of 61.5 months (IQR: 35) and 59 months (IQR: 38.5) respectively (p=0.85). POP recurrence in the anterior and posterior compartments was more common and comparable between groups. In the redo group, 6/39 patients (15.4%) required a reintervention for POP recurrence, as compared to 13/156 patients (8.3%) in the control group (HR=1.74, 95% CI: 0.59-5.17). A third apical repair was required in two redo patients. One underwent a colpocleisis and one a transvaginal mesh repair, the latter failing again. One case of apical recurrence was observed in the control group; apical repair was obtained through a sacrospinous fixation. Of note is that the reoperated redo patients did not have apparent differences in baseline characteristics, duration of follow-up and nature of recurrence as compared to control patients who had surgery for recurrent POP.
