CESA/VASA 65 short-term outcomes. However, more data should be collected on inclusion criteria and patient subpopulations, variability of outcomes and effect estimates. Also, delineating learning curves and feasibility criteria for large-scale clinical trials are still to be determined. So, we suggest a stage 2B exploration by a multicenter prospective cohort study in the evidence-based IDEAL framework.133,134 A prespecified protocol, according to the Reporting Guideline checklist for IDEAL Stage 2b exploration will be designed in collaboration with interested surgeons and centers. Conclusions The aim of this systematic review was to investigate the current evidence on the efficacy and safety of Cervicosacropexy and Vaginosacropexy in treating urinary incontinence and apical prolapse. While current evidence remains scarce and of low quality, yet the possible improvement in symptoms of urge and mixed urinary incontinence and correction of apical prolapse in the short term is encouraging and also supported by a physiological base. Therefore, this intervention needs a thorough appraisal to guide further research before wider implementation in clinical practice
