Patients also mentioned problems on the long-term with maintaining selfmanagement. Sometimes they started with hope, but under influence of temptations, negativity or social pressure, bad habits would return into their lifes. They also mentioned that for kidney disease it is difficult because the kidneys will never be better. It is hard to see the benefits. And once a patient feels he or she failed, it is difficult to start over and over again.
