| 56 Demographics We included 232 participants in our quantitative strand (85 Australian participants, 37 Canadian participants, 23 Dutch participants, 58 Polish participants and 29 participants from the UK) and 53 participants in our qualitative strand (nineteen Australian participants, fifteen Canadian participants, nine Dutch participants and ten Polish participants). A total of 41 healthcare providers participated in eleven focus groups (four in Australia, three in Canada and two in the Netherlands and Poland). Twelve healthcare providers were interviewed (six in Australia, four in Canada and two in Poland). Table 2 provides demographic information. Table 2. Demographic information of participants. In the quantitative study strand, 56.1% of the healthcare providers encountered a high proportion of people living with dementia in their work (>50%). The average score (range 1-5) of satisfaction with the diagnostic process was 3.45 (± 0.91). The average score (range 1-5) for their satisfaction with post-diagnostic support was 3.24 (± 1.09). Of the included healthcare providers 18.1% were involved in the diagnostic process (Dx), 21.6% were involved in post-diagnostic support (Pds) and 60.3% were involved in both (Dx+Pds). The satisfaction with the diagnostic process and post-diagnostic support of these three groups is displayed in Figure 1. The Dx group comprised largely of psychologists (33.3%), geriatricians and psychiatrists (26.2%) and GPs and doctors (16.7%). The Pds groups is largely made up of nurses (28%) and paramedical providers (44%). The Dx+Pds group comprised largely of geriatricians and psychiatrists (25%) and nurses (25.7%).
