| 184 Figure 1 displays the four themes: (1) when caregiving takes its toll, (2) the difficulty of navigating social care, (3) (un)met expectations of social care and (4) burden migration to social care workers. The themes were interlinked, informal care created a need for support to ease some of the informal caregivers’ burden. However, accessing social care was deemed challenging and the perceived quality of care positively and negatively affected this burden. Social care workers reported feelings of stress and as it were not always possible to deliver good quality care. Figure 2 represents the coding tree.
