Two-year trajectories of COVID-19 symptoms and their association with illness perception: A prospective cohort study in Amsterdam, the Netherlands 6 179 at least one symptom questionnaire and were included in the current analysis (Table 1). Participants who completed at least one symptom questionnaire were more likely to be of Dutch background (p=0.003) and less likely to have been hospitalised due to COVID-19 (p=0.013) (Supplementary Table S1). Most (264/349; 75.6%) study participants were recruited prior to 1 January 2021, prior to when the Alpha variant (B1.1.7) began to circulate in the Netherlands[15]. Table 1.
