Chapter 4 122 Figures S3a-d. Transition between levels of self-reported severity of (a) fatigue, (b) loss of smell and/or taste, (c) myalgia and (d) dyspnoea over time among prospectively-included participants, by clinical severity group Median time from illness onset to recruitment in prospectively-enrolled participants were, for mild, moderate and severe/critically-ill participants respectively: 6 days (IQR 4-9), 9 days (IQR 6-16) and 14 days (IQR 11-18). Therefore study visits D0, D7 and D28 in transition plots approximately correspond to day 6, 13 and 34 (mild disease), day 9, 16 and 37 (moderate) and day 14, 21 and 42 (severe/ critical disease) of natural disease progression. Vertical bars represent the number of participants per severity level of the symptom at each study visit. Severity level was defined as the maximum severity experienced by the study participant since the last study visit, i.e. the severity level reported at D7 represents the maximum severity experienced between D0 and D7 study visits. The size of the streams encodes the number of study participants who transitioned from one severity level to another; transitioning from any severity level to “none” represents recovery from that symptom.
