81 Microstructures | Trigonocephaly age was significant in the reference tract FMA as well. Assessing the MD FMI/ FMA ratio between patients and controls showed no significant difference (P = 0.77). Using scatterplots and effect plots for all tracts, the MD in time (age in years) is visualized for patient and controls (Figure 2). It shows the decrease of MD in time and the nonsignificant difference between patients and controls. As there was no significant difference in both FA and MD values of patients as compared to controls, we did not further investigate the diffusivity values RD and AD. An additional analysis to further correct for age with the 21 oldest patients compared to the 21 controls showed no significant difference between patients with trigonocephaly and controls (Supplemental Table 1).
