49 Health status of homeless people measured by health problems homeless patient population. It should be noted that the calculated proportions add up to more than 100%, because in just one homeless patient, in a specific period, more than one diagnosis can be registered. We described the current characteristics of the homeless patient population using data from the most recent period in Rotterdam. These characteristics were compared with those of a group of 3,272 unique patients who consulted a regular GP in Rotterdam, at least once in the same period. In this practice, 32.0% of the patients have a deprivation practice code (in Rotterdam 36.0%, in the Netherlands 9.0%). Finally, changes over time were described and corrected for changes in age profile. Results Characteristics of the homeless population attending the street doctor’s consultation hours 2014-2017 Between 2014 and 2017, the street doctors registered 2051 unique persons who visited the consultation hours at least once. Of these patients 21.2% were women and 14.0% were over 60 (table 1). Table 1. The visitors of the street doctor consultation.
