Modeled and perceived RF-EMF exposure from mobile phone base stations in relation to symptom reporting

De rol van gemodelleerde en gepercipieerde blootstelling aan RF-EMF van zendmasten voor mobiele telefonie in het rapporteren van gezondheidsklachten

Astrid Lysanna Martens

The introduction of mobile phone base stations in the society has led to concerns about health effects among citizens and scientists. The aim of this thesis was to improve the understanding of the associations between modeled (as a proxy of actual) and perceived exposure to RF-EMF from mobile phone base stations in relation to self-reported health outcomes. The findings showed that perceptions of exposure play an important role in self-reported health outcomes, in contrast to modeled exposure.
