8 Conclusions This chapter revisits the key problem and answers the main re- search question investigated in this thesis. A brief review is pro- vided of the most relevant results and findings from each chapter. These are considered from a holistic perspective, for the purpose of specifying the contributions of this thesis to research. Finally, with respect to what inspired this thesis, and analogously to how it started, the value and implications of strategic conformance are considered from a broad philosophical perspective.
